When sold illegally, it usually comes in the form of a white or off-white powder. It can also be prepared into pills or dissolved in a liquid.²

How is ket used?
Ket can be swallowed, inhaled, or injected. Sometimes it is also smoked with cannabis or tobacco. The effects of ketamine can be experienced within one minute if injected, 5 to 15 minutes if inhaled, and up to 30 minutes if ingested. Its effects can last for about an hour; however, coordination or senses may be affected up to 24 hours after initial consumption.
